Experiments with Paint

I got some awesome wood beads. They laid for a while forgotten and lonely, but recently I decided to take care of them and make something big and bold.

Fortunately, my acryl painting sessions were also long waiting for me to get back to them, so I got armed with brushes and tubes of all sorts of colors and....

And nothing! Two days passed, and I still could not make anything I would really love out of all these amazing resources!

A week later, I got totally worked up about my short-comings, grabbed a sketch book and started over. The most delightful reward was waiting for me that day!  The idea was simple and bold - circles. Big round beads with colorful circles assymentrically scattered all over them - classical approach  used by late modernists - i love it!

 Check them out, they are unbearably cute!

Make up treasuries

First, I have to confess I am susceptible to marketing. Sometimes more than I want to. That is balanced by my poor but creative student life and extreme shopping resistance when it comes to big purchases.
But little things...Oh Lord, where do I start?
Hehe, actually I’ll start right from the beginning of this post - make up.
Never-ever shall I forget my first make up micro investments, and the brand “Ruby Rose”, which was at all possible convenience stores in Russia. I don’t know what they made that stuff form, but it costed suspiciously little-to-nothing.
I guess a decade of using this colorful (probably) lead-rich junk would leave scars and frightening discolorations on my face, but I loved it then. Comparing with no make-up at all it looked so much better! Plus naive ignorance of “ingredients” list, and my youth became bright and happy.
But now it’s completely... the same story! :))
Ok, I do not buy Ruby Rose anymore and every once in a while glance over the ingredients list, but little things bought here and there make me more happy than one big purchase once a year.
This way new green oriented mineral cosmetic brands found their way straight to my heart! I tries bare minerals, raw minerals, signature minerals and some others I can’t even remember..
There are some shops on Etsy which do similar thing, but I’ve already found the hero of the Day, guys.. Sorry, maybe next year I’ll look aside, but Everyday Minerals are SO GOOD!
And needless to say, SO Cheap! So many colors, and such cute decoration!

One more addition to my make up heaven - eye shadow brush (synthetic, but works perfectly!) and two “try me free” kits:



I personally love the fact that they offer these trial sizes (which are NOT so small, actually), because for me they are the optimal amount of make up I need, especially when it comes to eye shadows.



P.S.: I have no personal or any other relation to this brand, I’m just fascinated that some people do such a good job at producing and marketing their business.

There is something amazingly captivating in fancy jasper. Its subtle color changes, while melting green into red, red to orange, orange to grey, grey to yellow, is always so amusing to watch!
I am fascinated, absolutely fascinated!

I am so excited, so-so-so happy to finally receive the new cards designs for my jewelry shop I ordered form VistaPrint!
Even though, their shipping policies are somewhat ridiculous, the quality of the printing is unquestionable (especially if comparing with my last Staple’s experience, brrrr...)!
I love-love-love all of them! Despite the fact that I always strive to the improvement of every single thing, I am very content with the current result.
I even took a couple of pictures, to show the color patterns and my new business cards design (matching the banner from now on):

Green Nails for spring!

Haha, I knew it, I knew it!
Last fall Chanel started Jade mania, which spread to october Vogue style pages.
And this spring it's again Green!
But it is much more warm and reach - tempting!

I am really puzzled, really. I could not believe that this kind of ideas really come to people’s minds! Apparently this activity is so popular that it made its way to the good money manners advice In the Daily Worth News Feed:

Maybe I just don’t have that cultural background, but I’m seriously struggling to imagine that any of my friends would congratulate me with my Bday by giving money to a charity “from me”. What kind of weird creativity is this?....
